Teacher: Savita Joshi, Sheela Venkata, and Hima Gorantla are senior yoga teachers who are knowledgeable about yoga therapy. Guided by Savita Joshi, C-IAYT, certified senior yoga therapist
A minimum of five registrations is required to start the classes.
Fee: $60 for 1 class/week and $100 for two classes/week [8 or 16 sessions]
Savita Joshi, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, B.E. MBA, is the Executive Director of Yoga Bharati Dallas chapter. She has been teaching yoga for the past 20 years. As a chief yoga therapy consultant at Dallas chapter, she offers yoga therapy for various psychosomatic ailments. She is one of the faculty for yoga training programs and guides yoga therapy students. She has contributed at a traditional Sanskrit medium online school as an Executive Director for a couple of years. She likes hiking, gardening, bhajans, reading spiritual books, and spending time with her family.
Sheela Venkata, B.E., RYT-200, currently pursuing a Diploma in Yoga Therapy with Yoga Bharati. She has been involved with the Dallas chapter activities since its inception. She manages the center’s yoga therapy activities and works with the team in providing yoga therapy for various ailments. She has been teaching yoga for 10 years and is committed to sharing transformative benefits for yoga. She is passionate about helping community members to integrate the principles of yoga into all aspects of life. As a devotee, she helps at the local temple activities. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Himabindu Gorantla, B.Sc. Biotech& Biochem, MBA, LLB, certified yoga instructor (from India) with 5 years of experience. Currently pursuing DYT from Yoga Bharati. She is a volunteer at Yoga Bharati as a yoga instructor with a strong commitment to the holistic teachings of yoga. She contributes to the organization by teaching kid’s classes for special needs, yoga therapy workshops for adults, and supporting the growth of the community. Outside of yoga, she enjoys activities such as stroke painting, hiking, reading, meditation, and traveling. She believes in continuous learning and personal growth, both on and off the mat.
