Meditation Retreat - Synthesizing Hindu and Buddhist Principles

It is our pleasure and honor to host Swami Bodhananda of Sambodh Society and Bhikku Sanghasena of Int'l Mahabodhi Meditation Center, Leh, Ladhak for a joint retreat that gives you meditation experience by the two masters, and the Hindu and Buddhist perspectives of yoga and its role in bringing peace and harmony to individuals, societies, and in establishing global harmony. Day/Time: Saturday Nov 10th, 8am - 2pm
Location: 691, South Milpitas Blvd, CA 95035 (Cafe)
Fees - $55 (just to cover the cost) - Donate generously to the humanitarian causes that the two monks work towards Kerala Relief and Save Himalaya Projects.

About Swami Bodhananda

Swami Bodhananda is highly respected in America and India as an accomplished teacher of Vedanta and meditation. Originally from Kerala, India, he did his undergraduation in economics, and then joined the Saraswati order — one of ten sannyasa orders established by Adi Shankaracharya. Presently, Swamiji is the Spiritual Founder and Director of The Sambodh Society in America and 11 other organizations of Sambodh Foundation in India. About Bhikku Sanghasena

Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena is a veteran who joined Indian army at 17 years of age. In 1977, he decided to take sanyasa under the celebrated monk, Venerable Acharya Buddharakkhita Mahathera, the abbot of the Mahabodhi Society Vihara, Bangalore. In 1986, Bhikku Sanghasena then founded the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) in Ladakh. From one small rented room, today Mahabodhi is a 250 acre campus which is known as Devachan campus has grown to become a unique, vibrant and vital hub for multifarious humanitarian and spiritual service programs in Ladakh.
