Annual Report 2020

Holistic and Authentic - Yoga with a Difference!

Yoga Bharati Bay Area Chapter is happy to share our efforts and achievements in helping society establish peace and global harmony—one individual at a time. Through our holistic, evidence-based, and open systems of yoga, we aim to create a movement that helps prevent social disharmony, crime, and abuse. Our Motto — is to transform the world, one individual at a time. Yoga Bharati is a holistic, evidence-based, open system of yoga. We borrow from the ancient Hindu classical yoga texts to bring holistic yoga to society.

We are affiliated with Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation (SVYASA), a yoga university that has a rich background in research-based application of holistic yoga in India. We cater to the modern society's needs without diluting the knowledge as a means of commercialization.

We offer our humble gratitude to all our volunteers, paid and unpaid, for helping us achieve the following goals.

Yoga Bharati has adapted to the current unprecedented situation by creating COVID-19 responses and continues to serve the community through holistic health support. We offer yoga at Summit Estate - A Drug Rehabilitation Center, Blind and Community Centers, and Corporate Sectors along with various offerings as given in the report below.

Our Workshops for 2020 - Keeping the Community Forever Young!

  • We conduct Deepen Yoga workshops to help our enthusiastic yoga practitioners take yoga to the next level, both as a practice and philosophy and lifestyle.

  • We conduct Yoga Yagna twice a year in which people practice up to 108 Surya Namaskars with different variations for people with different health needs; all the way up to 108 Chair Surya Namaskars by seniors would be performed in this yagna.

We Prevent News from Happening

As Patanjali says - ‘heyam dukham anagatam’ — yoga helps prevent social disharmony and unrest leading to abuse, divorce, crimes, and drug addictions. Yoga is a panacea in establishing social order.
