Ask your company to match your donation or volunteer hours to Yoga Bharati.
A number of companies already match employee donations. Following are some of the companies:
Adobe, Apple, Cisco, Citrix, Genentech, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, Paypal, Symantec, Workday, Yahoo.
If you don’t find your company in the above list, ask us or help us add us on your company’s matching list.
Employee Matching Gift Program:
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees.
To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please contact your HR department and inquire about registering Yoga Bharati for the matching gift program.
Although the submission process varies for each corporate matching gift program, the standard matching gift process follows these simple steps:
Donor Makes A Contribution To Yoga Bharati
Donor Submits a Matching Gift Request to Employer. Contact your HR department for an acceptable form of such request.
Company Reviews Donation and Nonprofit organization to Determine Eligibility
Company Verifies that the Initial Donation Was Made to Yoga Bharati
If Eligible, Yoga Bharati will Receive a Check from the Company
We appreciate you taking a few minutes to inquire about this program with your employer and do the needful to support Yoga Bharati!
Donations from your Tax-deferred Accounts:
If you have reached 70.5 years in age and have an IRA, you may benefit from donating a portion of your IRA required minimum distribution (RMD) to charity.
Starting in 2018, the IRS has declared that charitable donations made from one of your tax-deferred accounts will be exempt from taxation up to $100,000 as long as the distribution comes from a qualified account and is donated to a charity that meets the IRS stipulations.
Please consult your tax advisor before executing such transaction.
Yoga Bharati meets the IRS stipulations.
