Ashwini Surpur, BS (CS), MA(Sanskrit), ERYT, CIAYT is the Executive Director of Yoga Bharati. She has worked at Oracle as a Software Engineer for 15 years and quit her job in 2010 to join Yoga Bharati as a full time volunteer staff. She has spoken at various conferences on yoga and Hindu philosophy. She writes articles for various magazines and news media on Yoga. She is passionate about literature and philosophy, and has a MA in Sanskrit. She is pursuing higher studies in Veerashaiva philosophy and writes articles on Veerashaivism. She also writes stories, articles, and composes poems in her free time. She teaches Bhagavad Gita for children and adults.
Savita Joshi, MBA (Finance), E-RYT, is the Treasurer and the Director of Yoga Therapy Services at Yoga Bharati. She has a Diploma in Yoga Therapy from Vivekananda Yoga University (SVYASA), Bangalore, India. She is a Director of Therapy Services at Yoga Bharati. Savita teaches yoga therapy for more than eight years with an emphasis on supporting women through prenatal and postnatal yoga, fertility, and other psychosomatic disorders at Yoga Bharati. Savita is on the faculty for Yoga Therapy Training at Yoga Bharati. She also guides yoga therapy students in training. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from India and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Cal state Hayward University. She has spoken at various retreats and conferences on the topic of yoga.
Anil Surpur is one of the founding members and currently the President of Yoga Bharati. Anil completed his Bachelor in Electronic Engineering from India (Karnataka) and has a MBA from All India Management Association (AIMA). He has undergone BKS Iyyengar yoga training, Chennai in 1986 and has been practicing Yoga since then. He has completed Yoga teachers training in 2003 and is a registered experienced Yoga Teacher (ERYT) with Yoga Alliance (YA). Reshma Amin is the Secretary of Yoga Bharati Bay Area chapter. She has been a yoga teacher since 2004 and has completed her Yoga Therapy Certification from SVYASA University Bangalore India in 2005. Since then, she has taught various yoga classes for adults, kids and prenatal groups at Yoga Bharati. She has also conducted numerous yoga for back pain workshops and prenatal therapy workshops and presently practices yoga therapy for clients at Yoga Bharati. She also manages overall activities of Yoga Bharati Bay Area chapter.
Bina Desai, ERYT, is the Area Director of Yoga Therapy at Yoga Bharati. After receiving her teacher's training and diploma in yoga therapy from Yoga Bharati, Bina has been managing and teaching yoga therapy at Yoga Bharati Fremont center. She has taught at various institutions such as the India Community Center, Fremont temple, and Fremont high schools. She is a faculty member of Yoga Teacher Training course and yoga therapy course. Bina holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce. Prior to her yoga career, Bina worked in the accounting field for different companies in the Bay Area.
Shailesh Basani, MS, ERYT is the Area Director of Yoga Bharati Milpitas Area. He has been a yoga practitioner for more than twenty years. He holds an official certification in yoga and yoga therapy from Vivekananda Yoga University (VYASA) and Yoga Alliance. As an active Yoga Bharati volunteer, he teaches public yoga classes (ICC, Milpitas library etc), yoga therapy classes and kids yoga classes in the Milpitas area. He is the faculty member of yoga teacher training and yoga therapy teacher training programs. Shailesh holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT, Warangal and M.S. in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University. He currently works as Director of Engineering in the Networking and Cloud Division at Citrix Systems.
Mona Shah, RYT, is the Director of Yoga Program Accreditations. An avid practitioner for over 15 years, she completed her Teacher Training in 2012 and is now pursuing her Diploma in Yoga Therapy with Yoga Bharati. In addition to helping Yoga Bharati maintain highest standards of authentic Yoga Education, she enjoys teaching yoga classes with an emphasis on Yoga Therapy. Mona holds a BS, Biochemistry from the University of Illinois and a MS, Computer Science from DePaul University (Chicago).
Indra Singhal has been a yoga practitioner for over 13 years, he completed the Yogabharati YIC in 2013 and has been teaching free community classes since. Indra is persuing his post graduate diploma in Yoga Therapy, PGDYT, at Yogabharati. In his classes, Indra facilitates deeper mental involvement during each phase of the class. Indra has held engineering and marketing roles at AMD, SynOptics, and Bell Labs. Over the years, he has founded several successful and not-so successful startups and now holds advisory board positions. Indra has Bachelor's from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and a Masters from Penn State University.
Siddu Rati, RYT is the Director of Outreach at Yoga Bharati. He has been a yoga teacher since 2006. He coordinates yoga programs and Sevathon at Yoga Bharati. Besides yoga career, he works at Citrix as Program Manager.

Shriram Sarvotham, PhD, ERYT-500, has been practicing yoga since childhood; he received the Yoga Teacher Certification from Art of Living Foundation in 2001. He has conducted over 150 workshops and retreats on yoga, Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali Yoga Sutras all over USA at prestigious yoga conferences, educational institutions and corporate offices. Shriram is the recipient of the Exemplary Service Award given by the Consulate General of India in June 2015, and the Yoga Service Award given by ISKCON in September 2009. He works in the tech industry in Silicon Valley in California.

EkaterinaJeleva, RYT-200, was passionately drawn to the practice of yoga since 2003. She traveled to India in pursuit of self discovery through yoga. She has studied yoga with the Art of living Foundation and received her yoga teaching certification in 2009. She teaches variety of yoga styles including Vinayasa krama yoga, holistic hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga, and sukshma yoga. Ekaterina is an ardent student of the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali Yoga Sutras, from which she derives inspiration for her personal practice as well as her teaching. A Registered Nurse (RN) by profession, Ekaterina works for the Cardiac Center at Stanford Medical. She has organized yoga workshops for Doctors and nurses in medical facilities.
