Our Yoga instructor course is an extensive course in Yoga and its therapeutic applications along with a depth in yogic philosophy from the ancient scriptures of Upanishad, Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali Yoga Sutras. Our instructors are yoga practitioners for decades. We are affiliated to Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation (SVYASA), Bangalore, a premier Yoga University in India.
Yoga Bharati is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance (RYT 200). After completing the course, one can sign up with Yoga Alliance to become RYT-200.
We offer instructor course at three levels –
YFC (Yoga Foundation Course) – subset of YIC
YIC (Yoga Instructor Course) – Basic course for Yoga Teachers
RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher) – advanced course eligible to be a Yoga Teacher register with Yoga Bharati and Yoga Alliance

About the basic course for Yoga Teachers (YIC - also known as YICC)
YIC is a certificate program designed by Viveknananda Yoga Research Foundation VYASA (also known as SVYASA), which is a premier Yoga University in Bengaluru, India. Based on 30 years of in-depth study in the field of yoga and spirituality VYASA has published many research papers on yoga and its therapeutic applications.
The student will be systematically trained in the techniques of yoga and to begin his/her own journey of self-awareness and development.

We are a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance and after completing the course RYT 200, which is equivalent to RYS-200 of Yoga Alliance, you will be able register with Yoga Alliance.
Summary:
Each student is expected to select a topic for research at the beginning of the course. During module 1 (see below) of the course student is expected to continue ‘self study’ on the selected topic and present the paper during the supplemental portion of the course.
After completing module 1 the student will be eligible to start the internship and field experience (module 4 – see below).
Student intending to complete the certification is expected to attend all classroom and online hours. In case if a student cannot attend all hours due to schedule conflict then student need to arrange with the instructor for make up class (es). If you do miss more than two classes then you will be required to repeat the entire course at the later date.
Course Details
Level 1: YFC (Yoga Foundation Course):
Yoga Foundation Course (YFC) is a subset of Yoga Teachers Training meant for people who are looking for in-depth knowledge of yoga and its philosophy for their personal interests (and not necessarily to be a Yoga Teacher). This course enables them to practice yoga with deeper awareness, hence enhancing the benefits of yoga. (One can complete YIC within 2 years after complete YFC)
Summary of YFC – Total of 60 hours
Module 1: Total of 100 hours
Practice, Teaching Methodology, Training, and Practice - 41 hours (class room)
Theory - 10 hours (class room)
Physiology / Anatomy 9 hours (class room / online)
Student completing YFC will be awarded Certification of Completion.
Note: Students completing YFC are not eligible to teach Yoga class until completing YIC

Level 2: YIC (Yoga Instructor Certification):
Full course – will be eligible for Instructor’s Certification after completion of all the requirements (Module 1 and 4 – see below). Student completing YIC will be awarded Instructor Certification by SVYASA (Institute in Bangaluru, India with which Yoga Bharati is affiliated).
Note: student will be eligible to start teaching Yoga Class after completing class room hours of module 1 and completing sessions on Physiology / Anatomy as described below.

Shadow teacher / teacher’s feedback – 30 hours (class room / on line)
Field practice (independent teaching of Yogaclass) Internship - 30 hours
Level 3: RYT 200 (Yoga Instructor Certification)
One can complete following requirements to be eligible for RYT 200 certificate (and is recognized by Yoga Alliance)
Summary of RYT 200 – Total of 200 hours (40 hours + 160 hours of YIC)
Module 2 (can be completed in concurrent with module 1 of YIC/YFC)
Yoga Philosophy and concepts - 20 hours (online)
Module 3 (can be completed after completing module 1 of YIC/YFC)
Retreats/workshops/seminars (from list provided by Yoga Bharati)- 20 hours (online / in person)
