Austin Yoga Classes Calendar (Steiner Ranch Location)
We are not a typical yoga studio where you sign up and start attending the classes. We understand your needs and your health conditions, if any, and work with you closely to help you achieve your health goals. Our sessions are holistic with breath awareness, yoga movements with breath synchronization, dynamic loosening practices to increase the heart rate and provide cardio endurance and asanas in the style of stimulation and relaxation.
We also include yoga nidra style relaxation, pranayama and meditation techniques involving chanting of simple syllables like A, U, and M sounds and visual techniques.

Registration is required for all classes. All experience levels are welcome.
Classes are workshop format and registration is required for the entire workshop for the duration of 12 weeks. For the Adults “Yoga for Wellness and Core Strengthening” class, you can register for one or two classes per week.
Yoga for Wellness and Core Strengthening (in-person): Focus of the class is on overall wellness and stress management. People with any ailments such as diabetes, back pain, sleep issues are welcome to attend and will be provided counseling and special take home practices. Adults and youth are welcome to join.
Sept 7th to Dec 7th (12 weeks), Saturdays 8.30 – 9.45 AM CST, Thursdays 6.30 – 7.45 PM CST. All classes are for 75 minutes and in person. (break for Oct 12 Dasara/School holiday, Oct 31 Halloween, Nov 2 Diwali/School Holiday, Nov 28/30 Thanksgiving)

Yoga for Kids (in-person): Focus is on 4 major areas - 4 Ps - Principles, Postures, Prayers and Participation. The goal is to improve focus and concentration of the kids through yoga postures, proper breathing and other techniques. The focus will also be to ensure kids learn moral and ethical principles, learn to be good human beings and help the community. This class is typically for kids ages 6-12 years. Please reach out if you have anyone slightly younger or older and we can discuss options.

Patanjali Yoga Sutras Workshop (online): Join us for an insightful workshop on the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, where we'll explore Patanjali's teachings on Sadhana (Abhyasa) and the systematic structuring of one's own practice using the method of Ashtanga Yoga. Throughout the workshop, we'll delve into these concepts and reference the Bhagavad Gita to gain a deeper understanding. The sessions will involve studying select sutras, perfecting the art of chanting them, grasping high-level grammar aspects, and addressing any queries. Each class will conclude with 10 minutes of meditation on the sutra we studied.
Starts on Sept 6th for 12 weeks, Fridays 5 PM PST/ 7 PM CST/ 8 PM EST (One hour duration)

Shailesh Basani (MS, ERYT, C-IAYT) has been a yoga teacher and YTT faculty for over 15 years with Yoga Bharati. He has taught a number of Patanjali Yoga Sutras workshop over the years.
