Yoga Bharati Sangam

Yoga Bharati dinner fundraiser event is on Sunday, June 2nd at 4pm in Cupertino.

Programs include:

  1. Panel discussions,

  2. Yoga Show by Seniors and Adults

  3. Children and youth presentations

  4. Demonstrations on effectiveness of yoga in Children’s focus and attention and personality. and in addressing chronic problems for all ages.

Donation: $25/person above 12 yrs; Kids 6-12yrs - $15  (just to cover costs); Kids below 5yrs come free.

Dr.R.Nagarathna, MBBS, MD, FRCP (Edinburgh), FICA (USA) is the Chief Yoga Therapy Consultant and Dean of the Division of Yoga and Life Sciences at Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation, SVYASA, Bengaluru. She combines her medical training along with her deep understanding of yoga in leading the health center. She heads the therapy division for asthma, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, cancer and other ailments. Dr. Nagaratna serves as an adviser and guide for Ph.D students at SVYASA. Yogashree N.V.Raghuram is the Chairman and Spiritual Founder of Yoga Bharati and Professor of yoga philosophy in Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation (SVYASA), Bangalore India. Sri N.V Raghuram is trained under some of the most renowned exponents of yoga such as Prof Satyanarayana Sastry and has been practicing yoga since early childhood. He is instrumental in introducing yoga therapy in a neurological clinic in Germany and starting yoga therapy in hospitals in Italy, Turkey, and China. He has traveled to several countries in Asia, Europe and America, giving discourses and stress reduction programs based on yoga.

Dr. Prasad Kaipa has been an advisor and coach focusing on innovation and leadership since 1990 for about 120 C-level executives in Global Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Prasad coaches them to channel their creativity to come up with innovative decisions, products, and services. He assists clients in becoming effective in managing people as well as oneself (personal mastery) in exploring innovative, and strategic decisions. He has deep exposure to Hindu spiritual literature like Vedas, Upanishads and brings this rich eastern value into the business world. Kundan Singh, PhD is a faculty at Sofia University, Palo Alto, and the Vice President of the Cultural Integration Fellowship, San Francisco. He began his teaching career at the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2006 from where he also completed his doctorate in Humanities in 2008, writing a dissertation involving the thoughts of Sri Aurobindo, Sri Ramakrishna, and Swami Vivekananda. He has been teaching in the doctoral program of transpersonal psychology at Sofia University since 2009. He has recently been awarded the Ved Vyasa award by the World Association of Vedic Studies (WAVES) for his contributions in the ongoing California textbook reform.

Kalyan Viswanathan is the Executive Vice President of Hindu University of America. He was a Global Practice Head for a Business Information Management Practice for Tata Consultancy Services. Kalyan has studied Hindu Scriptures pertaining to Advaita Vedanta under Swami Dayananda Saraswati, who is a traditional teacher of Vedanta and founder of Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania. He is also the President of Sanatana Dharma Foundation, which is a Dallas, Texas based Non-Profit Organization. He has had a keen interest in promoting the academic study of Hindu Dharma for many years. Kalyan has written papers on Sanatana Dharma and presented them at various conferences, in particular the World Association of Vedic Studies i.e. the WAVES conference.
