Like every year, Yoga Bharati is participating in Sevathon 2019. Yoga Bharati hosts Suryanamaskar (Yogathon) every year in this event.

Build the habit of Yoga using Yoga Habit

Our new Yoga Habit App will make this simple and fun. Every day, do your yoga and then finish by simply tapping the "I did yoga today" button in the app. You can also create your own groups and invite your friends and family to see each other's progress in real time.

While the Yogaton preparation can last until Sevathon, the app will continue to be available for your use afterwards, so that you can keep your yoga habit going. 

To get started, below are some of the existing groups that you can join. Please choose one and open the associated link on your mobile device to sign up.

  • 51 Surya Namaskar to slowly progress your practice to reach 51 SN Sevathon.     Modified Surya Namaskars

    To Avoid Repetitive injury and also for people with health conditions, we have modified the SNs as below:

  • Take-it-Easy Surya Namaskars with Marjalasana and Shashankasana and other modifications to backbend and forward bend. This is an excellent SN for a bit of restful poses in between the classic Surya Namaskars. It also is a great practice for people with back, shoulder, and wrist injuries.

  • Chair Surya Namaskars - This is an excellent practice to strengthen the back and knees, and improve your breathing. Excellent for people with knee problems, balance problems and for seniors who cannot do the above two versions on the mat.

Participate and donate generously and do the fund raiser through your community and friends. How about a quarter (25c) per Surya Namaskar or Aum? Register for Sevathon and choose YogaBharati as the supporting organization. The classes and courses we conduct have changed people's lives in a positive way.   • The races will start in Arena Greens of San Jose, and run through the city with great volunteers and supporters along the way to bring you back to the Arena Greens. Your timings will be available right after your race, and awards will be presented on the stage. The Yogathons of Sun-Salutations of 27-54-108 and the festival will be held within the Arena Greens. Once you arrive, we’ll be there to direct you to your respective activity.

  • You support a specific cause such as Yoga and raise funds for various activities conducted by Yoga Bharati. Spread our Holistic Yoga and its Philosophy by Introducing your friends to our yoga.

  • We have started new initiative — Subsidized Yoga for Seniors, FREE Yoga for Cancer and other projects — to make a difference in the community!

  • Yoga Daan - Be a Part of our Seva Yoga Bharati has pledged to offer yoga as a tool to bring peace and health in the world. Our volunteers have burning passion, soothing techniques of yoga, and enriching wisdom of life to the hearts of people suffering from many physical and mental ailments or family and societal issues. The classes and courses we conduct have changed people's lives in a positive way. It is easy to donate money, but our volunteers donate their time and hard work in transforming the society, one individual at a time.
